    The Account Level Forecasting Series

    Picture

The BankLink Solutions ~ Forecasting & Reporting Systems provide various levels of concise reporting to meet the needs of various constituents within the Bank

The Account Level Forecasting Series Reporting is intended to be utilized by the C.E.O., C.F.O. and Executive Management and to be made available to the Board of Directors as a reference (when substantial detail is desired at the account level).

The Account Level Forecasting Series Reports are the bedrock of our Forecasting System.  This is the most detailed and most important of the various reporting series because it is the engine that drives all other systems.  It is only at this basic account level that true forecasting and analyses can be done.

    Line-item Detail
    Assets & Liabilities
    Volumes & Rates
    Interest Income & Interest Expenses
    Non-Interest Income & Non-Interest Expenses
    Reserve for Loan Losses
    Capital Accounts
    Dividends
    Risk-Weightings
    Taxes
    Net Income
    Key Ratio Analysis

The Account Level Forecasting Series includes the following reports:
    • Performance Analysis
    • Current Year Perspective
    • Next Year Forecast
    • Third Year Forecast (when appropriate)

The Performance Analysis Section of this report provides a Financial Analysis of the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and numerous Key Ratios in comparison to the Budget for the current month and on a year-to-date basis.

Additionally, it compares the current month’s performance and condition to both the prior month and to the same month one year prior.

    The Forecasting Reports show the
actual and projected Financial Analysis of the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and numerous Key Ratios.

Executive Management Series vs. Account Level Forecasting Series
The Executive Management Series Reports are based upon the "Master Account" Level of Reporting, while the Account Level Forecasting Series is based upon the "Basic Accounts" and also shows the "Master Account" Sub-totals.  This allows the reader to gain a full perspective of the Bank's Performance.

In our example below, the Basic Accounts (separated by repricing characteristics) are then grouped together to form the Master Account for Variable Rate Commercial Loans.
    Variable Rate Commercial Loans:
    • Prime Based Loan + X bps - (Monthly)
    • Prime Based Loan + Y bps - (Monthly)
    • Prime Based Loan + X bps - (Quarterly)
    • Prime Based Loan + Y bps - (Quarterly)
    • Prime Based Loan + X bps - (Semi-Annually)
    • Prime Based Loan + Y bps - (Semi-Annually)
